What makes you think I am a good fit for your program/protocol?
Not everyone is a good fit for every hypnotic program, as you are interviewing your hypnotist, they should be interviewing you as well. There is no need for you to spend good money on a program where you don’t have the best chances of quitting. A responsible hypnotist will tell you if they believe you are a good fit or not a good fit for their program.
What specialized training have you done for working with smokers?
Yes, general hypnosis protocols can be useful for quitting smoking. There are a lot of specialized programs developed from years of working with smokers. Even if this hypnotist doesn’t have 20 years of experience, following a protocol developed by someone who has done 20 years of smoking cessation can net the same results! Smoking is one of the specialized areas that benefit from specialized training because people who smoke are special people. (Ok, that one may have gone a bit too far)
How do you customize your program for me?
Face it; you are an individual with unique reasons, triggers, and habits. Therefore a scripted generic program cannot be the best fit for everyone. A crucial part of success in smoking cessation is your hypnotist gets to know you, your habits, and your triggers, and then mold their program to work for YOU.
How do you ensure I don’t start snacking or pick up a replacement habit?
A common concern with quitting is secondary habit formation. You should determine what components the hypnotist is planning on using to help ensure you don’t develop these habits. These kinds of habits are like where people start snacking, picking their fingernails, etc. They don’t have to be a concern if addressed during the hypnosis process.
What tools and support structure do I have after I leave your session?
