What hypnosis feels like to me...
What does hypnosis feel like? To me, hypnosis feels like that state of waking from a dream and moving into the real world. When things may feel real or not, sometimes it is hard to know the difference. In most cases, I have time distortion, which means I don’t accurately judge the amount of time that has passed.
I am not a strong visualizer, so the experience of hypnosis is very kinesthetic, meaning I feel it more than I see it. But as I relax into that moment, it is very well defined for me.
What clients say hypnosis feels like...
One common word used by most of my clients to describe it is ‘good.’ I have had some tell me it was like a dream, some tell me they recall the whole thing, and others even describe it as if it was happening to someone else.
One fascinating detail is, despite how they experience it, it doesn’t seem to impact their success rates. I often work with my clients in a light trance because the deep trances aren’t needed for most change work.
What about bad experiences?
There are times, rarely, that a client will have abreaction. These are typicaly emotions that go out of control, or the client is in the middle of an unpleasant recall. These happen VERY rarely, and we are heavily trained about them and always looking out for them. Sometimes these can even be a sign of what the mind needs to work on. But I do stack the deck to avoid them.
What will you experience?
I don’t know – but I can almost guarantee you will like it. If you would like to experience it, reach out. I will be happy to answer any questions or even help you experience it for the first time. I have some audio programs that can get you started or start with a live session. Reach out!
