I know it sounds goofy and straightforward, but simple affirmations can go a long way to helping improve self-esteem. Find something you are good at and write down on a post-it note, “You are good at X,” put it where you will see it regularly. Repetition is critical; seeing it once is nice, however seeing it every day causes more robust neural pathways around that thought. Give it a try!

P.S. You can even fudge yourself slightly, even if you don’t think you are good at it; these can help drive you to be good at it.
